Workshop: Introduction to Git for version control
Time:
Thursday, March 16, 2017 - 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Location:
2124 H.J. Patterson
The LSC Research committee is organizing an introductory workshop on Git, a version control system.
If at any point you have struggled with digging through a dozen files named something like "Analysis_3" and "Write-up_final_5", trying to remember what changes you have made and when, then this workshop is for you. Git allows you to essentially back-up and track all the changes you make to a set of files, as well as co-ordinate the changes if you are working on a project with a team.
