Annie finished her doctoral training at the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology (HDQM), with a specialization in Educational Psychology. Within HDQM, she earned a graduate certificate for Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation. She graduated from Beijing Normal University with a Master’s degree in Developmental and Educational Psychology. Her research interests include cross-language comparisons in reading development and more specifically the specific mechanisms underlying orthographic learning in first and second languages. She has been teaching EDHD 306: Research Methods in Human Development in HDQM as an instructor of record since Fall 2019, where she shares her knowledge on research with her students. She joined the Language Science Center as a Language Science Apprentice at Fall 2017 and has become a fellow and enrolled in the NRT program since Fall 2018. She has been appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Early Childhood Education at The Education University of Hong Kong (starting from July 2021).
