About:
I'm an assistant professor in Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I run the Cognitive Science of Language lab at UMass Amherst. Our lab focuses on psycholingusitics, the study of how children and adults acquire and understand natural language. In particular, we study how adults are able to use implicit knowledge of grammar to guide interpretation of sentences in real time. Our lab uses theoretical, experimental, and computational approaches to the study of language, and we have investigated the processing and acquisition of English, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Inuktitut.
