About:
I am a third-year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Maryland, mentored by Ellen Lau. My research area is in Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics. I am interested in how syntax and semantics interact to construct representations of a sentence over time, and how cognitive mechanisms support language comprehension and production.
Before coming to Maryland, I worked closely with my mentor, Shiaohui Chan. We started the Neurolinguistics Lab at National Taiwan Normal University, and carried out interesting projects, including bilingual sentence processing, the processing of Mandarin classifiers, and the acquisition of Mandarin classifiers in second language learners.
