This holiday season, please help us collect books to send home with PGPCS students participating in the MILEStones Reading Tutor Program. MILEstones is an after-school reading program to support emergent readers using Reading Ready, an evidence-based reading program at two elementary schools: Hollywood Elementary School and Kingsford Elementary School.

Winter Storm is the UMD Language Science community’s yearly two-week series of seminars and workshops designed to foster research skills, stimulate new interdisciplinary research projects, and boost career growth and job readiness.

Winter Storm is the UMD Language Science community’s yearly two-week series of seminars and workshops designed to foster research skills, stimulate new interdisciplinary research projects, and boost career growth and job readiness. These workshops are FREE and open to all language scientists, encompassing undergraduates, research assistants, grad students, postdocs, faculty members, and researchers at affiliated research institutes.

 

The LSC's next monthly social is here: Board Game Night with tacos! Take a break from the stressful semester to have fun, enjoy some tacos, and meet fellow members of the LSC. Board games will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

 

The LSC Graduate Student Committee is hosting their end-of-semester social, the LSC holiday party!

 

Join us for the first LSC social event of the semester, organized by the Grad Student Board! This event is open to all grad students, faculty members, postdocs, and post-bacs interested in language science. It will be a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow language scientists from different departments while enjoying some delicious food and drinks!

How did they understand the question then, and how do they see it now? See the full lineup here! Lunch will be served starting at 12:15. Vegetarian options available.
