Production of the /t/-/k/ contrast in children with cochlear implants
Abstract: Over the past several decades, technological advances have led to dramatic improvements in speech and language outcomes for young children who receive cochlear implants. However, cochlear implants are not a cure for hearing loss, and speech delays remain pervasive in this population. In this talk, I will present speech production data to help us better understand the unique language-learning problems faced by young children with cochlear implants.
