Title: Examples of translational research from a community-based aphasia center
Abstract:
This talk will be about two examples of translational research conducted at the Stroke Comeback Center, a community-based aphasia center that uses a Life Participation Approach to Aphasia. The presentation will focus on how participation in group activities coordinate with the Activity Limitation and Participation Restriction domains of the ICF; the premise and clinical trials of VAST (Video Assisted Speech Technology), a program targeting apraxia of speech.
